Loving and living life. Training still going strong.
I had a good week going last week. I had planned regular runs of 5-6 mile distances during the week with a step back to 10 miles on the weekend and a 5 mile recovery run on Sunday. We left for the lake as soon as Glenn got home from school and in the haste of trying to get gone quickly I left both pair of running shoes on the rack in the garage. I had clothes packed but no shoes….. so no running. I ended up sitting around and resting a lot as Glenn wasn’t feeling well and we ended up just hanging out around the lake house all weekend. Turns out that Glenn and Kathy both contracted the swine flu. They stayed home from school/work all last week, took tamiflu, and are healed now. I somehow managed to stay healthy and not get it.
I can tell I am starting to get up there in miles. I had thought about extending my long run by another mile Saturday morning but in hindsight see that I stopped right at the right time. I ended the week with a nice 6 mile recovery run on Sunday.

whatcha training for ?
Most likely the Rocket City marathon in Hunstville, AL. I have been planning on running it for the past year and started training for it but plans may have changed this week as Kathy and Glenn aren't going to go as I thought they would.
My plan is still to go at this point but I may end up changing to the Thunder Road marathon in Charlotte, NC instead.
