I actually feel sort of like a runner again. My miles aren't high but I am getting out and running at least 4 times a week now. I am trying to make it back slowly so a little injury won't sneak in on me.
I really hated that I missed the Atlanta Half Marathon on Thanksgiving morning. This marks on the 2nd time since 2001 that I have missed it. I love the atmosphere, sights, and sounds that surround the race.
Michele (1L) ran an awesome race and beat my PR on this course by 2 minutes. I am going to have to train hard this next year to get back on track. It seems 1L and I used to finish races within mere minutes of each other and she has stayed strong with running as I have fallen way off.
Watch out 1L- I may just sneak back up on you.

Nice post Alan. I like the experienced optimism you are showing. Keep it up!
I am waiting with baited breath!!!! That was the fastest that I have run on the course since 2001, so I was real pleased. Of course, I missed 2003,4,5, and 6!
How about ING half as a goal - maybe we can run together if I stay healthy.
